Fast, collaborative design for progressive political campaigns

I volunteer with Tech For Campaigns, a nonprofit that provides technology and digital services to progressive political campaigns and organizations that otherwise couldn’t afford them. The work involves designing and shipping under tight timelines, zero budget, and high stakes.

Turnaround is often measured in days rather than weeks. I work closely with project managers, writers, and front-end engineers, designing and refining structure, visual design, and messaging in parallel rather than in sequence. In addition to website design, I frequently step in to improve logotype legibility, clarify brand color palettes, and shape copy to ensure it is clear, accessible, and effective.

Throughout the process, I work transparently with campaign teams—walking them through my design thinking and tradeoffs, bringing a clear point of view while recognizing that they understand their district and candidate better than anyone. The sites are built within Tech For Campaigns’ WordPress templates, with the goal of moving together quickly.
